Minus 27 – This Week

A big thank you to all those who came down to The Queens for Open Mic night yesterday. Good to see more performers getting up and having a go, and  great to see the new banner outside the venue! I managed to get a few pics which will be up on facebook asap. Next stop this week for Minus 27 is Cellar V on Friday 1st April (no joke) 19:30 - 21:30. Drinks offers are...

Minus 27 at White Cross

White Cross Open Mic Nights

Originally, White Cross Open Mic Nights were intended to be the first Wednesday of the month, every month. Recently we've not managed to keep to this (despite wanting to), however I can confirm two dates in April when Minus 27 will be taking over a small corner of the pub once again. For all keen Friday night drinkers, there'll be the usual drinks offers on - including 2 cocktails for £5, I'm waiting on them to create the Minus 27 cocktail, who knows if enough people request it?! As with every Minus 27 gig, the set list...

The initial acts have been released for Solfest 2011. Punk icons The Stranglers will be joined by fellow genre legends The Damned, Irish group The Saw Doctors and classic 90’s Britpop outfit CAST. Other performers include Kate Rusby, Camille O'Sullivan and Leeds duo Minus 27! Solfest is a national festival with a strong focus on locality, in other words making sure that regardless of size/reach, each act receives equal treatment. In the festivals own words "Organisers...
